Day 1:
Cochin – ArrivalArrival at Cochin. Cochin, the confluence point of the alluring Arabian Sea and the Silent Backwater, will be your host for the day. With your arrival in this pictorial port-city, you will be checked-in into a hotel, where you can unwind, relax and get freshened up. Though a metropolis, Cochin still holds strong to its roots and cultures. Afternoon sight-seeing at Fort Cochin, Chinese Fishing Nets, Jewish Town & Dutch Town. Laze around Marine Drive in evening. Day 2:
Cochin – MunnarAfter breakfast in the morning, transfer to Munnar. Cossetted by lush greeneries, guarded by captivating hills and mountains, and fringed with never-ending tea plantations, Munnar is also known as the ‘Nature Lover’s Paradise’ and will surely hold you captive throughout your stay. Munnar is 1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India's highest peak (Anamudi-2695 mts). On the way visit Valara, Cheeyappara waterfalls & Tea Plantations. You can see the beautiful tea estates like a green paradise. Overnight stay at Munnar. |
Day 3:
MunnarToday, you will be introduced to the enchanting beauty of Munnar! Following your breakfast at the hotel/resort, you will be embarking on a full day excursion and sightseeing around this gorgeous hill station. During the day, you will be taken to tourist spots like Matuppetty, Echo Point, Gundala Lake, Photo Point and Rajamalai National Park followed by several other destinations. The day also includes a visit to spice plantations, Tata Tea Museum, Blossom Hydel Park, Headworks Dam, Elephant Arrival Spot and Pothamedu View Point from where you can enjoy amazing sunset views. Day 4:
Munnar - ThekkadyEnjoy a delicious breakfast while adoring the pristine beauty of Munnar! Post this, pack your bags and drive to Thekkady, the home to Periyar National Park. Thekkady in India’s largest wildlife sanctuary is a dream destination for any tourist visiting India. The 120 years old 'Surki' dam built across Peryiar, Poorna in Vedic parlance, is a major tourist attraction. This sanctuary is spread over an area of 777 Sq. Kms, surrounded by an artificial lake over an area of 25 Sq.Kms. The Country's sole Tiger reserve, Thekkady, with its bountiful treasures of tropical flora and fauna is the ultimate reservoir of many an endangered species and a rich tribal culture. Thekkady is a pleasant heaven on earth for those who love nature in its wild manifestations. In the evening, you can take Elephant ride at Periyar wild life or indulge in boating at Periyar Lake or attend cultural show with traditional Kathakali dance performances. Day 5:
Thekkady – AlleppeyToday, after having breakfast at the Thekkady hotel/resort, you will be driven towards Alleppey or the ‘Backwater Capital of Kerala. Known for its enchanting backwaters, snake boat races, gurgling canals, lush greeneries and much more, Alleppey is also known as ‘Alappuzha’ or the ‘Venice of the East’. Enjoy the opulent beauty of the coconut lagoons and visit some of the coir villages in Alleppey. Overnight stay at Alleppey. |
Day 6:
Alleppey - KovalamFrom the ‘Backwater Capital’, today you will be driven to Kovalam, the ‘Beach Capital’ of Kerala. The journey will start post breakfast and will take around 4 hours. Arriving in Kovalam, you will be taken to the Kovalam Beach, where you can enjoy several beach activities. Adorned by the playful waves of the Arabian Sea, this sandy retreat is visited by a large number of beach lovers and is ideal for activities like swimming, sunbathing, herbal body massages, water sports and lot more. Overnight at Kovalam. |
Day 7:
Kovalam – Kanyakumari - KovalamToday, after having breakfast at the resort, you will be driven towards Kanyakumari or the ‘Land’s End Point’; en route, you can visit the stunning Padmanabhapuram Palace. Built by the Maharaja of Travancore in the 15th century, this wooden palace is an architectural marvel in its own. Following this, you will be visiting the pious Sucheendram Temple, and continuing your drive to Kanyakumari; the confluence point of Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. Arriving in Kanyakumari by afternoon, you can enjoy an exciting boat ride to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial; the spot where Swami Vivekananda used to meditate. Visit Padmanabha Swamy Temple, Science & Technology museum, Veli Tourist village, Aakulam boat club, and Shangmugham Beach. Later back to Kovalam. Overnight stay at Kovalam |
Day 8:
Kovalam - AirportToday will be the last day of this amazing and enchanting Kerala tour! After breakfast is served, you will be checked-out from the Kovalam beach resort, and driven to Trivandrum. Following your drop at the Trivandrum Airport, this heart-warming tour will come to an end. |
